Amigo's Mexican Cuisine is looking for a part time host
Job Title: Host
Compensation: $18.04/hour + tips
Position Type: Part-Time Only (Nights and Weekends Required)
Reports To: Front of House Manager / Shift Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
-Manage the waitlist and seating chart to ensure efficient flow of service
-Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
-Answer phone calls
-Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entry
-Communicate effectively with servers and management about guest needs and table status
-Provide accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
-Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role preferred, but not required
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
-Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
-Professional appearance and demeanor
-Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful
Requirements:
-Must be available to work weekends and holidays
-Must have a valid Food Handler card, or obtain one within 30 days of hire
-Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
