We are looking for a compassionate caregiver and companion for our elderly mom. The desired qualifications include someome who is truly caring and involved in the day to day activities . You must have high standards when it comes to safety and sanitation and be able to uphold strict guidelines. As a companion, we need someone who delights in keeping her motivated to stay busy , can determine the best activity for the moment and makes sure that our mom is engaged and involved. You may need to take her to doctor's appointments or various outings.
Some of the general caregiving duties include bathing, grooming, dressing, preparing meals, providing medication that has been previously sorted, taking vitals ( blood pressure, oxygen and temperature), doing laundry and some light housekeeping duties.
Our mom needs assistance with walking, getting on/off of sofa, sitting and getting on/off bed. She has mild dementia and incontinence .
Must have valid driver's license , clean driving record, valid car insurance and well maintained vehicle
Must have previous experience working with elderly
Position is for thursday and fridays - AM shift - in Burbank
