Job Title: CAD Drafter Location: Los Angeles, CA Schedule: 6 Months Duties:
The CAD Drafter will be responsible for drafting duties, processing work orders and converting sketches to print for distribution and will assist the Facilities Construction team with coordinating project related activities.
Will also work with business unit maintenance managers to address drafting plan work orders.
Create and/or modify drawings using AutoCAD v2019.
Work directly with project managers to interpret drawing markups for development or revision.
Follow drafting standards and maintain records.
Perform regular QA checks of drawings and work prior to submission to project managers for review.
Modify and revise drawings as necessary to correct deficiencies and bring plans to current standard.
Assist in performing a variety of routine assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques Develops and maintains necessary records and reports.
Converts hand sketches into CAD and PDF drawings.
Maintains excel spreadsheets and documents within OneDrive directories.
Reports to projects managers weekly with status reports.
Reads and understand SOPs for implementation.
Works with multiple project managers to provide drawing updates, plan updates and documents all changes.
Maintains drawing database consisting of more than 275 locations.
Attends project meetings and assists the department as necessary including but not limited to Real Estate, Facilities, Refrigeration and HVAC teams.
Skills:
Strong understanding of design software such as AutoCAD
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others via remote location and / or in office
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
1-5 years of cad experience preferred.
Experience reading red lines and making corrections.
Experience with work orders preferred, Maximo.
Education:
Associate Degree in drafting or related field and, 1-5 years applicable experience in drafting
