Gamefam is a start-up gaming company whose strategy is to bring best practices in F2P game design and live operations to emerging UGC gaming platforms.
At Gamefam, we’re acutely aware that the game is only half the equation. The around-the-game, the relationship with the game, the content that comes from the game - these cannot exist without the game itself, and yet the game cannot achieve its full potential without its complement of content.
As Gamefam’s Content Creator, you will have enormous creative freedom to interpret Gamefam’s games into new ways to excite, delight, and engage our player and fan community! Our Content Creator needs to be fearless and prolific. You will be on the front lines of shaping the vibe, energy, and personality of our brands and how we appear to millions of gamers around the world. With a focus on creating videos and streaming, but with an unlimited purview, you will work across any and all art needs outside of our games from videos, to in-game photography, to ads - and any other type of asset you think you can hack together. We move quickly and prefer making things happen to making things flawless. Passion will win over perfection in this job every time.
Responsibilities
In conjunction with the marketing team, make content everyday - videos, streams, GIFs, posts
Make stuff all day except when in meetings about what stuff to make, getting a bite, or casually catching up with your cool, super busy, gaming colleagues
Be comfortable moving quickly and taking art risks to break through and make an impression
Qualifications
2-5 years experience
Highly attuned visual artist and overall media maker
Talented and experienced in creating videos, being on camera, interacting with talent, etc.
Exquisite skills in video creation, editing, and fx software
Some skills or willingness to learn a 3D photography program such as paint.net or Blendr in order to compose in-game renders for marketing art
Experience with or knowledge of social media strategy and delivery
Experience creating marketing art, preferably for a gaming, pop culture or streetwear brand
Work fast, love being productive and just making stuff
Works great with others - positive attitude, collaborative
Passion for gaming, gaming culture, and the gaming lifestyle
4-year degree in art and / or design, or just have an amazing portfolio
Comp
We will go contract with plan to go full time after 60-90 days. Competitive compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid vacation, and all that jazz.
Location
WFH until this scourge of corona passes, then 2 days in the office in Central LA - West Hollywood / Hollywood area. Will consider remote for right candidate.
