Logic Group - Property Services, formerly known as CriterionBrock, a leading supplier of flooring to the
multi-family housing industry will add a talented Inventory Coordinator to our
team in La Mirada, CA.
Under direction from the Branch
Manager, the Inventory Coordinator ensures system inventory accuracy,
identifies and takes action to resolve issues causing inventory inaccuracies,
and monitors overall inventory flow to minimize shortfalls or surpluses. The successful candidate will have branch
inventory and warehouse knowledge, strong communication and problem solving
skills, be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, the ability to work
independently and amongst multiple teams and be able to function in a
leadership capacity at the request of the Branch Manager.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assigns inventory to jobs in a timely manner,
with efficient use of materials and using the oldest inventory, without
compromising the scope of work or installation integrity.
- Minimizes waste from roll end balances by using work order notes, floor plans
and other tools to exercise good judgment; results demonstrated through
operating metrics (KPIs).
- Trains and coaches others to be proficient in various inventory management
processes so as to meet the CB standards for inventory management
- Communicates regularly with Branch Manager, AEs and Purchasing regarding
inventory levels and changes in usage to avoid potential inventory shortages or
surpluses.
- Leads and collaborates with the Warehouse team to solve problems and identify
root causes of inventory inaccuracies or procedural infractions, and assists Branch
Manager by providing solutions and recommendations for corrective action. Proposes updates to existing procedures to
improve efficiency of processes and inventory accuracy.
- Supports Branch Manager with Purchase Orders by organizing, monitoring traffic,
and communicating needs or issues with Warehouse team, Purchasing and Branch
Manager.
- Monitors aging inventory and provides solutions or options to reduce or
minimize.
- Monitors special orders and communicates issues to Branch Manager and AEs to ensure
installs are not postponed due to supplier delays or product does not become
aged due to scheduling delays with customers.
- Assists Branch Manager by leading or facilitating inventory counts and root
cause analysis on variances.
- Works with Branch Manager and Warehouse team to identify warehouse storage
capacity and communicates changes in capacity to Purchasing along with other
factors that will impact inventory storage.
- Assists the Customer Support and Warehouse teams as needed.
- Promotes high safety standards, especially when working in and amongst the
warehouse team.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work
environment.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years Customer Support or Warehouse experience or comparable experience
with inventory responsibilities.
Knowledge or experience working with floor covering, RFMS software and
an understanding of the installation process a plus.
- Supervisor experience and demonstrated leadership and team skills; ability to
develop and motivate employees, problem solve and use internal resources
wisely.
- Able to accurately complete demands in a high volume environment; dependable,
detail oriented, effective multitasking, positive attitude and professional
communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills including mathematical
properties of addition/subtraction/multiplication/division needed to accurately
assign materials effectively.
- Ability to work independently and with a wide variety of individuals to problem
solve and identify root causes.
- Experience and proficiency operating a computer; experience working with
Excel spreadsheets.
