Job Summary: To support and maintain purchasing procedures and participate in the sourcing and purchasing of materials.Create purchase ordersInteract with vendors and vendor salesperson both in person and on the telephonePlace orders with vendorsSupports physical inventory. Interact with the Receiving departmentAnalyze prices, discounts and delivery datesMake purchasing recommendationsSet up contract pricing and obtain cost savings with suppliersUnderstand Inventory Control System and capable of conducting the physical inventory Mandatory every Month (Sat)Able to lead plant physical inventory Mandatory every Month (Sat)Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures.Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels.Evaluates and reports information to Supervisor/Manager on vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts.Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.Embodies Decore core values.Other related duties as requiredRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in purchasingor supply chain management is a plus.Proven experience as a purchasing clerk or in a similar role within themanufacturing industry.Sound knowledge of procurement processes, principles, and best practices.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, withexperience working with purchasing software or ERP systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracyin purchase orders and records.Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build andmaintain relationships with suppliers.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meetdeadlines.Knowledge of manufacturing materials and components would be an advantage.Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Please apply online with Decore-ative Specialties at: https://decore-ative-specialties.primepay-recruit.com/job/864761/purchasing-clerk-manufacturing?s=cl
