Job Summary

As a Food & Beverage Reservationist you are responsible for all restaurant bookings and general administration duties within the department, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

Job Activities

Possess full and accurate information about the Company

Provide guests with any required information related to the Company

Handle all F&B inquiries coming through phone and e-mails

Handle bookings/ reservations

Advice and recommend food & beverage choices to guests while making offers

Handle pre-payment for F&B reservations and special events bookings if needed

Create reservations in Reservation system and clearly indicate all notes and preferences of the customer. Proceed with table allocation if needed

Confirm and reconfirm bookings

Announce overbook when necessary and contacting Manager on duty

Forward reservations for special events arranged by the restaurant

Forward special events arranged by the restaurant

Responsible for taking clear and accurate information about every reservation and update it correspondingly in database

Handle Reservation database and corrects mistakes where applicable. Ensure all information is correct and up to standards

Actively assist in promoting the Company and special events by providing full and detailed information

Ensure that all customer inquiries are handled timely, efficiently and with care

Maintain efficient communication with guests and Managers

Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality

Carry out any other reasonable duties and tasks assigned by department head or management

Comply with the restaurant environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

You should ideally have a degree / diploma in the hospitality field with a maximum of one year experience in a similar role. You must also have fluency in both written and spoken English and be well versed with computer programs, while being familiar with Micros would be an additional advantage.

The ideal candidate will be customer driven and an extremely proactive and ‘switched on’ personality with an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character.
