We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to potential tenants. This position requires strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of legal aspects related to property leasing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
- Manage the application process, including data entry and verification of applicant information.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements.
- Prepare lease agreements and assist tenants with understanding lease terms.
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities and tenant communications.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with property management to ensure properties are well-maintained and ready for showings.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance requests related to leased properties.
- Stay updated on local rental market trends to effectively market available units.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and legal aspects of leasing.
- Proficiency in data entry and office management tasks.
- Experience with conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs is a plus.
-Use of our leasing software, AppFolio, to communicate with potential tenants, schedule showings, post listings, etc.
-Able to photograph properties/unit for advertisement/listing.
- Sales skills to effectively promote properties and close leasing deals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
