Large government and municipality organization is looking to hire a

Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Lead Analyst in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Regional Cyber Services Coordinator will work as Cyber Lab’s lead threat intelligence analyst and coordinator, working with the region’s private, state, local, and federal stakeholders.
The consultant’s specific duties may include but not limited to:
  • Manage Cyber Lab’s TruStar Threat Intelligence Sharing Platform (TISP), including supporting partner onboarding efforts with TruStar, creating vetted IOC feed within the platform, combining and analyzing TISP IOCs with other cyber threat sources to create written intelligence products for internal and external dissemination.
  • Report to and assistant the JRIC Cyber program, including drafting and reviewing joint cyber regional cyber advisories, presenting on stakeholders calls, and supporting regional incident response.
  • Develop presentations, dashboards, visualizations, and documentation to identify threats, insights, and trends and to communicate insights with stakeholders
  • Coordinate and/or present on monthly Joint Cyber Threat Brief and other Cyber Lab stakeholder webinars.
  • Liaison with the Integrated Security Operation Center (ISOC) to create technical advisors using ISOC threat intel.
  • Maintain Cyber Lab mailing list and send out daily threat reports and other Cyber Lab products.
  • Coordinate Cybersecurity Initiatives and projects

Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Certification
  • A passion and drive for Cybersecurity; and
  • A degree from an accredited college or university; or
  • Professional experience in cybersecurity, IT, public safety or related security development, or equivalent experience.

Preferred and Desired Skills
  • Any cybersecurity professional certifications such as CEH, GCTI, GCFE, GCFA, GCIH, GCIA, CISM, or CISSP.
  • Experience using Threat Intelligence Platforms, especially TruStar’s intelligence management platform.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current cyber threat landscape, defenses, motivations, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with the technical aspects of malware, botnets, and other malicious tools.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK® framework, Lockheed Martin Kill Chain, DNI Cyber Threat Framework, or other Cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming for popular languages such as: Javascript, Python, HTML.
  • Proven record of exercising good judgment and professionalism in a fast-paced and/or intense working environment; strong writing and research skills.
  • Experience managing Cybersecurity projects, staff, or other resources.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the private and public sector.

Examples of Deliverables
The consultant will be expected to accomplish the work including, but not limited to:
  • Providing technical cyber services to the region
  • Establishing effective coordination with MS-ISAC, CISA, and the Cal-CSIC.
  • The coordinator will rotate between the LA Cyber Lab and the JRIC.
  • Coordination Plans, Training program, Response plans and protocols, and other deliverables as specified in the position duties.
