Software Implementation and Training Specialist

Position Description:

The Software Implementation and Training Specialist - Parts position is responsible for implementing and servicing application software at Advent client sites and conducting training to familiarize clients with the Advent software. This roles main focus will be with the Parts module. This position requires extensive travel. You will travel both individually and with a team. When you are not physically at a customer site, you will support current customers, prepare for installations, and conduct follow-ups with recently installed customers from your home office or the San Pedro, CA office.

Responsibilities:

Consistently execute implementation process and methodology.

Conduct needs analysis to determine appropriate workforce management solution requirements for new or existing clients.

Coordinate client training to ensure that clients are scheduled to attend all appropriate training classes.

Oversee accurate, timely and successful installation and conversion of Advent product solutions through entire implementation cycle.

Consult on the installation of client site software and equipment and coordinate technical support to resolve issues and provide client support.

Seek client feedback on the products and service to ensure a quality implementation experience for the client and provide feedback and ensure a successful transition.

Provide feedback and suggestions on products, issues, processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and continuous improvement.

Ensure the successful "hand-off" to other Advent departments following the implementation.

Ensure products are configured and/or adapted to meet each client's needs.

Document client interactions and assist with communication.

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Experience in dealership Parts department required

Experience in other areas of the dealership is a plus

Experience with providing training sessions a plus

Experience with ADP, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Advent a plus

Valid Driver's License Require

Ability to work with little supervision

Ability to travel 80% of the time
