We are looking to hire a trained locksmith technician for IN HOUSE work.
This position is perfect for someone who is trained as a locksmith tech but that does not want to work in the field anymore.
Retired locksmiths with field experience preferred - must have prior experience (we cannot train from scratch)
We are a fast-paced small business in East Los Angeles, CA looking to hire 1 in-house tech to assist with the following duties:
- Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and text
- Assist with customer inquiries, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Collaborate with internal team to resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Cut and duplicates keys (automotive, residential, high security keys)
- Rekey cylinders and locks (commercial and automotive a plus)
- Understand and interpret master key systems
- Repair, replace or service worn out components on locks (doors, cabinets, safes, drawers, etc)
- Prepare and input invoices from walk-in services into computer accounting system and take cash/card/check payments
- Be familiar with door hardware (locks, hinges, closers, etc.) to provide to customers as needed
- Receive and organize hardware on a regular basis (similar to warehouse/inventory management)
- Assist with estimates or ordering as designated by manager
Requirements:
- Must have prior locksmith experience (we cannot train from scratch for this position)
Skills test required upon interview
- Must be available for brief phone interview and one in-person interview at our location in East Los Angeles
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English or Spanish (both is a plus)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written is a must
- Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions well and consistently
- Previous customer service experience in support or technical field

Introductory period lasts 90 days. Upon completion of introductory period, review is performed and if training expectations are met there is an opportunity for a raise.
