Under the supervision and guidance of the department leader and/or seasoned analysts, the Departmental I is responsible for day to day efforts involved in the resolution of interrelated departmental applications and reporting issues associated with the departmental applications and reporting tools. The strategic elements of this position require analytical skills to troubleshoot end user issues with applications and support reporting needs of the enterprise. Incumbents provide a key role in application management, issue resolution as well as planning and participating in major system installations. Incumbents may provide training to end users of the applications. Additionally, will work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors and Health Science Campus to design, develop, implement and make operational departmental applications and reports. The analyst will need to have the ability to work independently and in cross-functional group environments. Minimum Education:
• Associate’s Degree Minimum Experience/Accountabilities:
Longevity in Work History is a MUST
• Experience in relevant business support and/or information technology support experience highly desired
• Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong customer service focus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with using Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) APIs to create Cerner Apps and to create custom integration with other systems
• Experience working with the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model (OMOP CDM)
• Knowledge of SQL and working with at least one relational database (like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.) and working with ETL tools, preferably Talend
• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, PHP
• Good to have experience working with cloud providers like AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, web development including HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end frameworks like React/Vue/Svelte to integrate with other systems.
