Responsibilities:
Build software solutions and functionality to meet customer requirements Guide the architecture, design, planning and development of modern web SaaS applications Drive best practice methodologies for development, deployment and hosting Improve application functionality, performance, reliability and scalability Provide DevOps support for production operations Work with technical support to provide speedy resolution for escalated support tickets Mentor and support other software developers and team members Ability to travel to North Carolina periodically (once travel restrictions are lifted) Experience:
Previous senior developer experience (development manager is a plus) Full stack web application development experience in a fast-paced environment Professional web application architecture experience, designing for capacity and scalability Full lifecycle software development experience using Agile/Scrum/Kanban Experience doing discovery, use case analysis, and communication with key stakeholders Ability to establish guidelines, best practices, processes, and governance Experience with DevOps Ability to work in a remote team environment, under tight deadlines Strong problem solving and solution development skills Qualifications:
10+ years professional Java web application experience 10+ years SQL and/or ORM development experience (preferably PostgreSQL) 3-5 years framework experience: Spring Boot, Hibernate, React, Angular, etc. 3-5 years cloud experience: Google Cloud Platform or similar Infrastructure experience: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, etc. Additional experience: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, Puppet, Git, etc. REST API development experience Experience developing microservices, message queues and container orchestration Front-end development: modern JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, etc. BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills Experience/Qualifications that would be helpful for this position:
Developed software in a HIPAA compliant environment Mobile application development experience (React Native, Cordova or similar) CI/CD experience Implemented Infrastructure-as-code environments Master's degree in a relevant technical field Live on the East coast (preferably in Charlotte, North Carolina area)
