Communications Manager - Bel-Air Bay Club
The beautiful Bel-Air Bay Club is a private club situated on the picturesque Santa Monica Bay in Pacific Palisades, California since 1927. The Bel-Air Bay has earned the prestigious Distinguished Emerald Club Award from the Distinguished Clubs of the World award program and is recognized by providing an experience found only at the finest clubs. We are looking for an experienced communications professional and collaborator, with outstanding writing and planning skills. The position is key in carrying out the Club's initiatives and activities, by storytelling, informing and entertaining our members, through a variety of communication channels. This position will work closely with the Leadership team to effectively execute communication products independently and in a timely manner.
Essential functions:
Advances and evolves Club website, relevant apps, and social media outlets, ensuring information is live, current and engaging to our members.
Writes and/or edits Leadership communications effectively, capturing the voice and strategic priorities of the GM/COO, Executive Leadership team and the Membership.
Manages all communications projects including the production and publication of Member and Employee newsletters.
Partners with a broad range of communications, marketing and brand professionals to ensure Club aesthetics, signage, menus and marketing collateral represents the Club's branding.
Leverages a variety of channels of communication for the development, support and promotion of Club community, culture and functions.
Facilitates all general correspondence, surveys and mailings for the membership.
Executes, publishes and archives photo documentation of member events.
Acts as Liaison to the Communications Committee and other committees as necessary

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
3-5 years experience in communications, public relations, marketing or similar environment.
Strong communication, writing and editing skills with comprehensive understanding style and style guidelines.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven ability to work effectively, move things forward and obtain deliverables in a deadline driven environment.
High level of organization, research and navigating skills.
Creative problem solving skills.
Skills Required:
Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Web content management systems (CMS)
Adobe: Acrobat and InCopy/InDesign
Basic photo editing skills
Basic video editing skills
Survey programs (such as SurveyMonkey or Google Forms)

Work Hours:
This position is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday Saturday, 9:00am to 5:30 pm. This is an exempt employee and therefore the work hours are defined by the responsibility of the job. Some weekend, evenings and Holiday work may be required, depending upon Club demands.
