Responsibilities of this role:
Drive the roadmap & day-to-day operations of the IT Asset Management Team, partnering to oversee logistics across multiple IT teams around the globe
Ensure IT hardware inventory is sufficient to complete daily operations
Partner with the Director to build & define the hardware provisioning and deployment program
Develop and maintain relationships with regional IT Leaders and key IT equipment vendors
Manage & plan the ITAM systems roadmap in partnership with the Enterprise Services Engineering team within IT Applications
Develop new processes to increase productivity while driving for automation everywhere
Physically receive and store IT assets while managing storage requirements in partnership with the Real Estate & Workplace team
Deliver required inventory to IT departments and locations, overseeing shipping and receiving needs
Develop and oversee measurement of the IT Asset Lifecycle and related IT services
Document and refine IT equipment inventory processes while creating and managing the IT Service Catalog
Manage the everyday functions of the core IT asset management team, including staffing, budgeting, and other relevant management functions required to hold all IT and business stakeholders accountable for optimizing the cost, risk, and benefit of digital technology assets throughout their life cycle
Lead the selection, installation, configuration, testing of equipment and software; SOWs, SLAs, KPIs, policies, and procedures, etc. for area of responsibility
Identify, report, track and remediate breaches of ITAM policy; develop asset optimization strategies and track progress; ensure data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners
Provide finance with the data to support the analysis of digital technology asset project and maintenance budgets and business cases; assign and oversee responsibilities for subdisciplines, such as software asset management (SAM), hardware asset management (HAM), and IT asset disposition (ITAD)
Ensure that ITAM-related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data
Supervise the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests, in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement managers, software asset manager, and other appointed delegates
Provide access to technology asset data in support of essential business activities; manage the budget for ITAM tools, services, and staffing (permanent and temporary); asset management for endpoints and edge devices, software and service asset vendors, on-premises data center assets, and cloud services
Ensure compliance with all relevant corporate and company-wide initiatives through applicable IT service, support and development; Internal Financial Reporting Controls, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Information Security, Operational Risk Management, Audit, Privacy, and Enterprise Technology Principals, Standards, and Policies
Strong Asset Management and Inventory Management experience
Requirements
experience directly managing IT assets in an Enterprise environment
experience managing a team of IT professionals
Knowledge and experience with MacOS and standard desktop application licensing, purchasing systems, Atlassian Tools, physical system installation and configuration, basic networking
Excellent attention to detail and process discipline
Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The IT asset manager must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:
o Technology asset life cycle (whether digital technology, information, financial or physical assets), best practice governance, tools and services
o Policy, process, and procedure development and implementation
o Technology contracts and their likely cost implications through the technology asset life cycle
o Third-party vendor management experience in an enterprise-wide ITAM engagement o Building partnerships with sourcing, procurement, legal, tax, and accountancy advisors for key input and decision making related to those functions
o Data processing, analysis, and quality management tools o Additionally, an understanding of IT business continuity, cybersecurity, and integrated risk management and optimization methodologies is highly desirable, along with knowledge of IT management
