DescriptionGene Kim (gene.kim@roberthalf.com) is searching for a Senior Accountant.Bring your accounting experience and know-how to a dynamic, growing team at Robert Half Finance, now seeking a full-time Senior Accountant in the Martinez, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. We are looking for a candidate that possess excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the successful growth of the firm.Major responsibilitiesManage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting or similar (strong GAAP / accrual accounting)
Inventory-based industry experience (retail, manufacturing, distribution, etc.)
Strong systems (ERP) and Excel skills
