Agate Cove is seeking to hire both part-time & full-time hospitality positions for our oceanfront bed & breakfast on the beautiful coast of Mendocino. Front Desk Attendant (Part-Time)

The Front Desk Attendant is the first person to greet a guest as they walk into the lobby, therefore the this position requires an outgoing, bubbly, yet soothing personality to start the the guests vacation off the right way! The right candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, polished telephone/email and sales skills, superior attention to detail, computer and organizational skills. Must be available to work afternoon & night shifts. Kitchen prep experience a plus!

Job Requirements:

Handle guest relations which include but are not limited too (Reservations, answering phones, concierge services, etc.)

Excellent time management skills.

Detail oriented & takes initiative.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Provide quality service for guests and maintain positive guest relations.

Proficient computer skills

Reliable transportation!

Must be able to work weekends & holidays

Breakfast Attendant/Prep Cook

Breakfast attendants/prep cook have many duties to perform during a shift. Main duties include food prep, setting up and breaking down each morning's breakfast, ensuring breakfast items remain well-stocked, maintaining the safety and well kept appearance of the dining room/breakfast area and cleaning the area in preparation for the next day. This may include replenishing silverware, pastries and condiments, food preparation, refilling beverage containers, mopping, wiping and sweeping. The attendant may be expected to perform duties similar to those of a restaurant waiter or busboy such as attending to special food orders or needs of the guests, clearing dirty plates from tables, relaying customer needs to the Supervisor on sight and providing or refilling drinks. Position is expected to prep and plan for breakfast menus at the beginning of each week, this requires computer efficiency. Position is also required to prep baked goods after breakfast hours for the next day. Paperwork/inventory, record-keeping, vacuuming, kitchen or other custodial tasks may also be delegated to the breakfast attendant. Attendants are also tasked with acting as representatives of the hotel are therefore required to provide a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere to guests.

Job Requirements:

Kitchen experience required

California Food Handlers Certification (or willing to get one done, paid for courteous of the company)

Must be able to lift 20 - 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail required

Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers & supervisors.

Must be flexible in hours and days available to work

Must have a professional/positive attitude and appearance

Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Must be have reliable transportation.

Must be able to work mornings!

Housekeeping Attendant

Description/Job Duties

To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment to the Agate Cove Property:

Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors

Vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies

Empty and clean trash containers

Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers

Wipe down glass surfaces

Make up beds and change linens as required

Tidy up rooms

Wash windows as scheduled

Sort, wash, load and unload laundry

Iron and press clothing and linen

Sort, fold and put away clean laundry

Operate mechanized cleaning equipment

Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements

Clean dining room, lobby, stairways as well as guest rooms

Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand

All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
