Camp Navarro is seeking aGeneral Managerto join our team. Our growing business is evolving from operating events and festivals to also incorporating transient hotel bookings for 2021 into 2022.
The ideal candidate is experienced in providing leadership and direction to ensure that Camp Navarro achieves goals and objectives for gross revenue, gross operating profit, guest satisfaction and team satisfaction.The General manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at Camp Navarro, from day-to-day staff management and guests strategic planning for all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. The General Manager worksclosely with the executive management and other stakeholders. Responsible for managing the Camp Navarro’s management team and overall company targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. He/She should be an ambassador for the Camp Navarro brand.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management or related Business degree, or Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent related business experience
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Hotel, Resort or Event Venue General Manager; 4 years of progressive experience in lodging and event/production management; including 1 year experience in a remote location
Qualifications
Broad overall business acumen and be knowledge of major business practices, included but not limited to accounting and bookkeeping, human resources, OSHA safety, operations, and sales
Ability to perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with meeting the demands and timetables of the events/hospitality industry
Ability to problem-solve situations in real-time, make decisions and exercise sound judgment
Strong people-management and leadership skills
Strong client management skills, including the ability to anticipate client needs and lead a team to meet and exceed those needs before requested
Knowledge of and experience in event production and event industry trends, competitors, leading customer strategies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and general computer programs and softwares(timekeeping, human resources, payroll, inventory, etc)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing efforts and initiatives
In depth knowledge and and ability to create P&L statements, operating budgetsandanalyze and effectively benchmark results
Strong knowledge of facility operating standards, building maintenance and custodial operations
Knowledge of food and beverage management and/or lodging management
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Ideal candidate will have a diverse background, having managed businesses in various operating scenarios, management positions and geographic locations
Highly focused, motivated and professional in appearance and presentation
