We are a locally owned restaurant group operating 3 successful concepts in Humboldt County.
The Humboldt Soup Company is our flagship concept where we operate a scratch kitchen using local produce and quality ingredients.
Humboldt County has an AMAZING agricultural community and we are a volume buyer of local produce turning up to 700 pounds of local produce into food on a weekly basis.
The concept is fast/casual with an emphasis on quality, flavorful, affordable meals.
Imagine chef inspired foods using local and organic produce in a drive thru setting. (yeah, it’s pretty cool)
We maintain a structured kitchen AND HAVE A VERY LOW STAFF TURNOVER ( even during the pandemic)
You’ll have daily hands on support from Owner and Executive Chef
As a Kitchen Manager/ Sous Chef you will be responsible for the following:
Initial and ongoing training of kitchen and staff
Work advanced prep list and the line in peak periods
Maintain and oversee a organized and clean kitchen.
Weekly inventory
Work with Exec and sous to create core and rotating specials focusing on seasonal local ingredients
Promote and maintain a company culture of work hard, love what you do and enjoy life
Ongoing build of catering program
Requirements:
2+ years of experience of back of house operations management
Experience working in a hands-on, fast paced environment
Experience mentoring and training hourly team members
Involvement/understanding of managing inventory, cost of goods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours ( breaks provided)
Preferences:
Experience working in a farm to table restaurant
Culinary degree or culinary certificate
Hours of operation : Mon - Saturday 8:00 am to 8:00pm
CLOSED Sundays - NON Work Day
You will average 40 hours per week with a consistent schedule
