Position: Senior Site Driver / Kitchen Aide (Point Arena)
Part-Time / Non-Benefited
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Salary Range: $14.00 to $18.20 per hour

Job Purpose: The Senior Kitchen Aide position is located at the Manchester Point Arena Senior Site location for Sonoma County Indian Health Project. The purpose of this position is to drive the van and provide transportation to seniors, help provide healthy, nutritious meals to senior program participants, create a welcoming environment for social and physical activity and to keep the site clean, both before, during and after service.
Qualifications:
Must possess a current California Food Handler Card or willing to acquire one within first month of employment
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver's license, ability to be insurable under SCIHP's automobile insurance, and be able to meet insurance requirements regarding driver record in order to utilize GSA vehicles.
Ability to work effectively and courteously with program participants.
Ability to follow directions.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Able to support the weight of others who require assistance in standing.
Must be able to bend, climb stairs, walk and/or sit.
Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Must be able to observe policies, rules and client confidentiality.
Ability to maintain inventory and organize supplies, assess what is needed, then order and restock.
Must be CPR certified or attend a SCIHP CPR training to become certified.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community, which includes their culture, traditions and background.
