Starting Salary up to $86,448/year plus a cash allowance of approximately $600/month*
The Advanced Life Support (ALS) Coordinator organizes and evaluates pre-hospital advanced life support services in accordance with established criteria, standards, and county, state, and federal law. This position coordinates the certification and continuing education of Emergency Medical Technicians and paramedics, operation of pre-hospital care programs, and quality control efforts related to the operation of advanced life support within Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. Additionally, the ALS coordinator will:
Compile and analyze statistical data
Assist in the preparation of necessary reports and evaluation
Coordinate Local Emergency Medical Services Agency (LEMSA) management of disaster preparedness services
The ideal candidate will possess:
Considerable knowledge of emergency medical services (EMS) systems, standards, regulations, and practices
Strong data collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation skills pertaining to EMS systems
The ability to develop plans for medical disasters and emergencies
Exceptional interpersonal skills to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with various public and private EMS-related entities
The ability to understand, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, ordinances, and federal, state, and local legislation related to disaster preparedness and pre-hospital medical services
