Ukiah & Willits position: Work with a growing agency that provides direct 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 behavioral support and job coaching for adults with developmental disabilities. Help your fellow community members expand their level of independence and become more involved in their community while having fun!
This position is excellent job experience for college students working toward degrees in the social services or psychology fields. We provide training, flexible hours, excellent supervision to support your personal growth, and will work with college for your work experience elective.
Duty Statement
1. Implements program curricula, behavior intervention plans, teaching programs, and activity schedules.
2. Directly delivers individual and group learning experiences to assist each Member in achieving his/her Individualized Program Plan (IPP) objective(s)
3. May participate in developing and organizing activities designed to strengthen Members skills.
4. Observes and collects behavior data to evaluate client progress;
5. Participates in client assessment, planning and evaluation processes;
6. Maintains the well-being and safety of the clients they support.
7. Transports clients as assigned.
Work Hours: This is an up to 24 hours per week position. Work hours are between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. No weekends and no nights.
Minimum qualifications for Support Staff I and II
Education and experience required to carry out position responsibilities;
At least 18 years old;
High School diploma or equivalent required. AA is desirable;
Safe, reliable vehicle;
Clear driving record;
Vehicle and drivers license requirements may be waived if other arrangements acceptable to No Barriers can be made for consumer transportation. ie bus, special cab;
Car insurance required by the State of California
Current PRO ACT certification- will train
Current CPR/First Aide Certification- will train
TB Clearance
Finger print clearance
Pass physical, including drug screen
Pay starts at $12.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, responsibilities, and job performance
