Full Job Description

Job Title: Production Technician - Trimmer

Reports To: Processing Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18 per hour

Bonuses paid per pound.

Position Summary: Premium cannabis producer seeking experienced dry trim staff for licensed Adult Use/Recreational processing and manufacturing facility. Please read the entire job summary and be able to meet all the basic requirements/functions before applying.

Essential Functions:

● Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product

● Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.

● Trim cannabis to meet company aesthetics, producing the highest quality product efficiently.

● After the breakdown of the plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.

● Must account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.

● Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.

● Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.

● Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.

● Time management: Employee must manage their time during work efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing the highest quality product.

● Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals.

● Employee must show up on time for work every day ready to work.

● Employee must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines, shower prior to shift, wear supplied PPE and coveralls at all times, supplied by the employer.

● Trim staff is responsible for clean-up, disinfection of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day. This also includes light janitorial tasks.

● Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sterility of the workspace at all times.

● Employee must maintain quality standards, flower integrity and adapt to various strains/techniques.

● EMPLOYEE MUST TRIM AT LEAST 1.5 POUND OF FINISHED PRODUCT IN AN 8 HOUR PERIOD.

Additional Functions:

● Ability to be flexible and work in various areas of the company as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor; this may include but is not limited to, helping grow staff with harvests, small tasks, cleaning and/or moving supplies and equipment and/or helping the packaging department or working elsewhere as needed.

● Must work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure and technique.

● Use of independent judgment in regards to product processing, keeping quality, projections and goals in mind.

● Help create a proactive and positive environment; a positive attitude and self-motivation to help produce High quality manicured products, while meeting and/or exceeding personal and/or company goals.

● Be able to work with, help, guide, challenge and motivate other trim team members in order to create a cohesive unit.

● Employee must be able to identify various problems with any strain/product, and be able to communicate with direct supervisors as necessary.

Job Specifications:

·Trim staff must understand and implement the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company.

· Fundamental knowledge, as well as the ability to be taught and guided in areas related to harvesting, drying, packaging, trimming and curing; initial focus on trimming with other areas being taught/expected by employees while still maintaining their capabilities as a trimmer.

· Shows self-motivation/innovation and the ability to work well with all members of their staff and the company, as well as with their direct supervisor.

· Ability to listen well and communicate effectively, especially with the direct supervisors and other co-workers.

· Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately while not overstepping chain of command.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees, upper management, and other departments.

· Ability to perform a monotonous task with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods without losing quality.

· Maintain a neat, clean, sterile and orderly work environment.

Additional Requirements:

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· If non resident of the USA, must show proof of Work Permit.

· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

· Must pass required Live Scan in Lake County

· Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Minimum Education and Experience:

· High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred.

· DRY TRIMMING/PROCESSING EXPERIENCEPreferably 1 year minimum

· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Working Conditions:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.

· PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 20 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product.
