Finance Manager

Description We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our client's team of 5. This role is situated in the healthcare sector and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including reorganizing the finance team, forecasting, budgeting, and managing the intercompany side of the business. This is a great opportunity for a strong people manager. Ideally you have experience working in a hospital or clinic. Workday Financial Management proficiency is nice to have, but not mandatory. This role is 100% remote. Pay is up to $75/hr. If you are interested in starting a new role in September, please apply today!Responsibilities: Oversee the reorganization of the finance team to ensure optimal efficiency Leverage US GAAP principles in all financial activities Develop and manage annual operating budgets and department budgets Handle HR budgeting to ensure the cost-effective allocation of resources Conduct standard cost accounting and cost analysis to inform budgeting decisions Manage budget allocations to ensure all departments are adequately funded Conduct financial forecasting to predict future budget needs Handle intercompany transactions and ensure they are properly recorded in accordance with FASB standards Oversee budget administration to ensure all financial activities align with the established budget Report financial findings and recommendations to the VP of FinanceRequirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in finance management, specifically within a non-profit setting Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP is required Experience in creating and managing an annual operating budget is essential Practical knowledge of department budget, HR budgeting, and budget allocations is necessary Familiarity with standard cost accounting and cost analysis is expected Prior experience in budget administration is a must In-depth understanding of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines is required Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Excellent leadership, strategic planning, organizational, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.
