Messenger Kids is the safe, introductory social product for children that parents can manage. Its Experiences team is responsible for making its product differentiated, sustainable, high quality and easy to use among best friends and close family members. We do so by building a best in class messaging platform, with experiences including calling and co-experiences, camera tools, and a great composer. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional experience for kids as they enter the digital world such that Messenger Kids is their primary choice to connect with friends.As a Product Design Manager of the Experiences pillar, you will be driving the standalone app and its experiences and involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to creating deep processes with other functions in service of design excellence. You will be expected to utilize your full range of leadership skills as your team tackles complex and highly visible experiences for Messenger Kids.Specifically, your team will cover an overhauled Messenger Kids 2.0, and a suite of new product innovations for tweens.A Product Design Manager for Messenger Kids is an exciting position for leaders passionate about social experiences for kids, and can drive innovation as we ramp to a global product.

• Building and managing a growing team of talented designers
• Experienced driving product design while working closely with Product Management, Data Science and Research to further evolve products and gain product market fit globally
• Help lead the vision and strategic planning for the product roadmap, both short and long term
• Manage multiple projects and allocate design resources accordingly
• Organizational design thinking to best structure the team and equip them for success in their goals
• Establish strong, collaborative design practices

• 6+ years of experience in Product Design.
• 4+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams.
• 3+ years of management experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership.
• Senior people management, team development, and recruiting experience.
• Experience growing strategic design practice within design teams.
• Visual and interaction experience in software design.
• Organizational and analytical experience.
• Experience executing with hands-on design.

• Familiarity with gen-z behaviors and trends
