ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with office staff, production staff, sales staff, and shipping staff regarding shipping andproduction operations
Uses computer system to complete the shipping process; receiving entries, shipping entries, inventorycheck, etc.
Answer phones and Emails
Operation of forklifts occasionally
Ensure that variety of lettuce being packed has been approved
Review documentation and organize shipping documents
Help as needed for any other duties required by the operations department and the company
OTHER DUTIES
Ability to work weekends
Must maintain flexible schedule
Ability to work overtime as needed
Follow all food safety company policies rules and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS-PREFERRED SKILLS
Attend trainings as needed
Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift
Follow all GMP Food Safety rules and regulations
Basic written and verbal English/Spanish (desired) language skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and climb or balance.The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.The employee is occasionally required to sit and spend time making repetitive motions, bending and twisting the body.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
