DescriptionAccountemps is hiring an Accountant for an entry-level position with a company in the Paper/Packaging industry. This position is best suited for someone with a positive attitude and who loves working with Excel. This opportunity is for a short-term temporary Accountant position and is located in Modesto, California. You will report to the Accounting Manager, and be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
Input data
Prepare journal entries monthly
Aiding in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned

3+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Practical knowledge of job costing
Background working with standard costs
Processing costing experience highly preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing
Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
General familiarity with basis costing
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excel Formulas experience desired
Earlier work involving cost accounting
Month end closings experience
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Outstanding data entry skills
