DescriptionAre you an influential force in team environments? Accountemps is looking for an analytical and organized Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a developing company on a long-term temporary basis. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. Located in Modesto, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary position.Key responsibilities
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Execute additional tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Produce full-cycle A/P
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Provide support during internal and external audits
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Requirements
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of data entry
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
