We are a small bakery known for our French desserts and custom cakes, located on 3025 McHenry Ave. We are a busy bakery so you must be able to stand for long periods of time and have a willingness to learn and be creative. We are looking to hire someone with at least 1 year of experience in doing custodial work, dish washing, cleaning, organizing and working in a kitchen.
The position is perfect for someone who has a good sense of urgency, cleanliness and organization. Someone with a positive attitude, who can communicate with people and pays attention to details and directions. You must be able to manage your time and multi-task, be familiar with cleaning solutions and procedures, be able to lift and use a ladder properly. Hours vary depending on the week since we do plan our schedule weekly.
Daily job duties and responsibilities:
-Organizing boxes, inventory and helping organize bakery products coming in.
-Deep cleaning on certain days out of the week and keeping our kitchen and lobby areas clean throughout the day. Including sweeping, mopping, cleaning the bathroom, organizing our shelves and remaining a clean space.
-Washing dishes, drying and storing them away properly.
-Including large trays and cleaning bakery equipment.
