PFD CAFÉ is seeking a full time experienced grill cook. The schedule is currently 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
We are located inside Stan Work (County Building)
251 E Hackett Rd CA, Modesto
Lead grill cook is right hand of main cook. Oversee daily food product for weekly menu with main cook. Performing preliminary procedure’s as well as lead other cooks on daily tasks. Fast hard working in grill station.
Works closely with main cook on duty regarding daily special menu.
Checks all refrigeration for proper temperature controls.
Observes and tests food being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing with fork to make sure it is cooked properly.
Responsible for kitchen organization and proper product levels at all times.
Knows the specific requirements of the Health Department and enforces those standards.
Ensures proper portion control for all prepared items.
Assists manager and main cook with the development of inventory standards of sanitation.
Cleans kitchen and grill daily.
Follow all rules and guidelines of kitchen and food preparation at all times.
Assists manager and main cook with all the ordering for the kitchen team for the next day and the week.
Trains and develops other cooks to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 years’ experience in the direct preparation/cooking of menu items
High School Diploma or GED preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate
