The Construction Inspector is responsible to inspect workmanship and materials used in a variety of public works projects for conformance with plans, specifications, and departmental regulations; and to assist with project administration activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing construction inspection and project administration for various public works or related construction projects, such as preparing daily reports, monitoring change order work, evaluating material testing results, preparing correction notices and obtaining corrective action, and preparing monthly progress payments.
Training:
Equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in civil engineering, construction technology, or a related field.
License or Certificate:
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.
