Requirements:
Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with a wide spectrum of the public with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Willingness to function in a team situation and/or with other healthcare personnel.
Ongoing discretion and secure information management in regard to confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure while keeping up with a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
3 years of medical assistant experience required (do not apply without it)
Job Duties:
Front office (includes but not limited to):
Greeting and checking in patients
Processing new patient information and scheduling appointments
Communicating effectively and efficiently on the phone
Processing referrals and authorizations
Verifying patient eligibility and insurance
Experience with EMR system
Knowledge of PPO, HMO and IPA’s
Cash handling – collecting copayments and outstanding balances
Back office (includes but not limited to):
Prepare necessary information needed for a patient’s examination or procedure
Escorting patients to exam rooms to obtain basic medical information and collect vitals
Record results in the patients’ EHR
Administering injections and PPD
Perform daily exam room and stock inspections to ensure supplies are adequate for patient care
Performing EKG/ECG when necessary and assist providers with procedures

Must be available to work any of the following hours:
Monday thru Friday 8 am to 7 pm
Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm
