Concrete Mason must be able to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs and gutter using a variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
Skills:
⢠Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.
⢠Position construction forms or molds.
⢠Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and
float.
⢠Spread concrete or other aggregate mixtures.
⢠Finish concrete surfaces.
⢠Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
⢠Finish concrete surfaces.
⢠Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.
⢠Finish concrete surfaces.
Qualifications:
⢠Minimum two years concrete construction experience.
⢠Must have own transportation to and from job sites.
Experience:
Mason concrete finishing: 2 years (Required)
License:
