Kelly Services has an amazing Maintenance Mechanic position in Ripon CA for a local egg processing facility!

Rate of pay: $26-28/hour+ DOE
Temp to hire or Direct Hire opportunity
Shift: First few weeks, our talent will work on Day shift, and then they will switch to either swing or graveyard depending on the needs of the company (9 hours shifts)
Product: Eggs, egg yolks/whites, and specific forms of cartons
Must have/high preference: Ammonia experience (school and work preferred), experience with compressors, condensers and refrigeration accessories, electrical knowledge up to 480V preferred, trouble shooting experience with pneumatics, air compressors and components, knowledge with PLC process control systems and be able to properly perform preventative maintenance on an assortment of different production machines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Successfully passed Reta CIRO Ammonia Refrigeration test.
2. Refrigeration knowledge and experience with compressors, condensers, refrigeration accessories and controls, working knowledge of NH3, NH3 Safety.
3. Electrical knowledge to include efficient troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment to include 480V, 220V, 120V and 24V.
4. Possess working knowledge and ability to efficiently troubleshoot pneumatics, air compressors and components.
5. Possess ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair manufacturing, processing and packaging equipment.
6. Possess working knowledge and ability to efficiently troubleshoot hydraulics including pumps, accessories and controls.
7. Possess ability to proficiently perform various types of welding including sanitary stainless steel and minor fabrication experience.
8. Possess working knowledge, and ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair boilers, steam systems, water softeners pumps, and general plant utilities.
9. Working knowledge of all plant process systems, Breaking Equip., HTST, CIP, sterilization, etc.
10. Some working knowledge of PLC process control system.
11. Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment.
12. Possess sufficient hand tools and test equipment with ability to use them to properly perform job functions as required.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Respond to maintenance calls, efficiently troubleshoot and repair all production and plant equipment as needed in a timely manner to minimize downtime. .
2. Trouble shoot and repair electric control circuits from 120V to 24V, read and follow electrical diagrams as needed.
3. Change out all electrical components such as magnetic starters, contacts, wiring, and other associated components as required.
4. Service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic system components.
5. Sanitary welding and fabricate as needed.
6. Layout and install plant and process utility plumbing such as air supply piping, sanitizer, foamer lines, and product lines, etc.
7. Perform SOPs associated with the Ammonia PSM Program.
8. Perform PM procedures as assigned in a timely manner.
9. Must be able to follow work instructions, work independently, effectively and efficiently on all plant equipment and systems.
10. Make recommendations for improvements in operation and/or plant efficiency.
11. Participate in training of Maintenance II and prepare them for advancement in to Maintenance I.
