Key Responsibilities:
Installation of 2-way radio communication equipment in commercial and public safety vehicles. Perform vehicle outfitting/up fitting services including installation and removal of all equipment, turnkey emergency vehicles. Troubleshoot installed equipment on an as need basis. Drive service vehicle to and from customer's locations. Complete service tickets and other required paperwork. Communications with customers in a professional manner. Maintain an orderly and clean work environment. Misc. shop duties.
Requirement, Knowledge and Skills:
Good motor vehicle driving record and valid driver's license a must. Ability to identify electrical circuits, understanding of basic vehicle electronics and wiring. Prior vehicle installation experience preferred. Familiarity with Public Safety vehicle installations is a plus. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights. Ability to communicate well with others and the ability to work on and see small objects. Must be proficient with hand tools and power tools. Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
