Very stable manufacturing company is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer to join the close knit team in their Fab/Tech shop located in the Redding area.
Education - BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience - 2 to 4 years of experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix and Kinetex systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of motion controllers, PLC's, servo systems and HMI's.
Experience with servo and hydraulic motion controls and tuning preferred.
AutoCAD proficiency a plus.
Duties - program and tune multiple axis of motion controls.
Program and debug PLC's and HMI's.
Design control systems used in high performance machinery.
Plan and coordinate new equipment installations.
Supervise installation and optimization of machinery.
Modify existing PLC programs.
Manage multiple projects across a large scope of work.
Train personnel in maintenance and operation of machinery.
Provide phone support to technicians during troubleshooting.
Travel to other company locations - approximately 20%.
