Job Description

• Performing design and analysis of thespacecraft thermal systems
• Detailed analysis of customer payload thermal environments
• Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced technical team members
• Lead the thermal team - manage thermal priorities and tasks across the team
• Coordinate with other spacecraft subsystems and customers regarding thermal design
• Must be able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and highly technical environment
• Will have a large impact on many programs, especially the lunar mission

• Several years experience in
  spacecraftthermal engineering
• Innovative and open to helping create a Cislunar economy -
  passionate about space

Qualifications

• Experience with Thermal Desktop
• Understanding of spacecraft thermal environments, especially radiation
• Experience modeling thermal effects to determine shielding requirements on spacecraft from RCS thrusters and rocket plumes
• Experience designing spacecraft active and passive cooling systems including radiators and MLI
• An understanding of thermal environments on the lunar surface
• Understands what is needed for high quality spaceflight systems - and also what is not needed
• Experience with the complete lifecycle of spacecraft development: design, build, test, and fly
• Experience with startups or new space companies

Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to space technology, candidates must be "U.S. Persons" as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) 22 CFR 120-130. In general, this means candidates shall be US Citizens (dual nationality is okay in most cases), Permanent Residents (current, valid green card) or other "protected" category.
