Under the general supervision of the Program Director, this person supervises management and performs the full scope of responsibilities related to the supervision, maintenance, and program delivery of facilities, employees and consumers as outlined below. The following reflects the companys definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Program Director may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Overseeing and ensuring the management of assigned caseload:

Develop and maintain goals and plans for consumers.

Ensure timely, effective and appropriate communication with Program Director guaranteeing program, consumer and personal objectives are being met.

Ensure documentation and proper reporting to appropriate authorities is timely and accurate.

Understand and ensure facilitation of all ISP objectives.

Ensure detailed reporting per company guidelines is timely i.e. SIRs

Attend all ISP, Semi-annual and 30 day meetings

Perform all aspects of incoming consumer intake process

Track daily consumer attendance

Full understanding of title 22, 17, OSHA will be essential to this position. Ongoing testing in this area may be required to maintain this position.

Represent New Perspectives, Inc. in a professional manner at all times.

Follows all workplace safety procedures.

Adhere to company attendance policy.

REPORTING

Oversee and ensure ALL required daily data collection is completed.

Perform regular and punctual attendance as scheduled.

Two years related experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to think clearly and communicate to leaders.

Commitment to excellence and high standards.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to pass a Behavior Management Test.

Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A valid California Drivers License is required along with proof of current auto liability insurance.

Current CPR/FIRST AID certificate

Pro Act Evasion Certification

Cleared Live Scan background check

Physical with negative TB test.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Use business computer and general software.

Use general office equipment including, copiers, phone systems, and fax machines.

Driving or riding in company vehicles while transporting consumers.

Train others in behavioral management techniques.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

1. Walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.

2. Transfer from sitting position to standing position or laying position to sitting position.

3. Lift or carry between 100 lbs. to 150 lbs.

4. Use back, legs, chest muscles, arms, biceps, hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, feel, hold/restrain individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as objects, tools or controls.

5. Provide behavioral management techniques to individuals with developmental disabilities in a potentially aggressive environment.

6. Occasionally the employee must twist, bend, stoop, and reach for items, crouch or kneel.

7. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close to far vision appropriate for driving.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical outdoor (community parks, museums, tourist attractions), vehicle, and classroom areas where under certain conditions may require the use of instructional tools. Primary environment: Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures. Office lighting provided.
