Job Description:
As MEG continues to grow we are looking for hard working individuals to assist in all aspects of HVAC, plumbing and Solar drafting. The position requires a high aptitude for computing and the ability to adapt to the requirements of our IT division. This includes strong AutoCAD or similar skills. In the absence of experience the candidate must be able to demonstrate the aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software and apply to our environment. Candidate shall have the ability to communicate with team members, have attention to detail, flexibility, respect for themselves and others, and take pride in their work! Position will require organization under the guidance of our project manager.
Education:
Ideal candidates will have earned a minimum of a 2 yr Associates Degree or will be working towards it. A Degree will not be required for a candidate who can demonstrate required aptitude, skills and ability.
Work Experience:
Preferred 1 to 2 years experience with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program and a thorough proficiency working in a Microsoft Windows environment. Experience will not be required for a candidate who can demonstrate required skills and ability.
Daily Tasks include:
Drafting of mechanical, plumbing and solar systems on AutoCAD 2014
Creating record drawings
Plan preparation including plotting check sets and submission sets
Ability to multitask several projects concurrently
Basic IT Office Administration Duties
The CAD drafter position receives direction from and reports directly to the Principals, Project manager and Design Engineers.
