CONCRETE ESTIMATOR /PROJECT MANAGER

Established, locally-owned concrete company that proudly serves Santa Clara, Monterey, and San Benito County since 1970 seeks an enthusiastic, experienced Concrete Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. The Concrete Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals as well as estimates for residential, public, and commercial projects, with a large emphasis being concrete related projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend pre-bid meetings

Meet with project owners to review job requirements and conditions as necessary

Thoroughly review plans and specifications so that accurate bidding can be completed

Solicit quotes from suppliers

Complete accurate take-offs for labor, equipment and materials

Prepare complete accurate estimates and complete detailed proposals for clients

Submit detailed proposal to clients and follow up to assure clients are clear with the scope of work and the pricing for the work being proposed

Gather and track required material submittals

Prepare and maintain bid schedules

Assist with billing and Account Receivables collections

Manage change orders on our projects and communicate changes with field personnel

Meet with Field Supervisors to assist in scheduling, track job progress and address problems

Ensure successful closeout and completion of all managed projects

Build and enhance relationships with customers and suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree preferred, work experience will be considered

3 to 5+ years concrete estimating experience required

Computer estimating skills a plus

Able to read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications

Able to manage multiple projects at one time

Self-directed with a high level of initiative

Able to successfully work within a team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multitask and properly prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines

Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and quality work

Professional demeanor, appearance and attitude

Bilingual a plus

Possess a valid CA driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
