DCS Construction Monitor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION
o Attend construction meetings with landowners, architects, and other consultants.
o Coordinate with the Santa Lucia Conservancy on monitoring, management and correspondence regarding construction compliance, impacts and/or issues;
o Work and communicate with landowners, architects, contractors, Design and Construction Services, and the Design Review Board to ensure construction is consistent with the Design Guidelines, Declarations, and Conservation Easements, and the DRB approved plans.
o Identify and assist Owners and contractors in the correction of issues that appear to be developing in conflict with the intent of the Design and Construction Guidelines, Declaration, and Conservation Easements.
o Meet with Preserve Lands Committee to discuss construction compliance impacts, issues, and resolutions.
ADMINISTRATIVE
o Administrative support including scheduling, research, routine correspondence, and follow-up related to compliance issues.
o Prepare minutes of all construction meetings.
o Document weekly site visits.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Must be detail-oriented, accurate, efficient and thorough;
o Must have a comprehensive understanding of architectural, landscape, and civil drawings;
o Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Microsoft Word/Office proficient.
o Valid Driver's License and clean DMV report is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires experience in architecture, design, and construction.
