Alta Bakery & Cafe is looking for counter service staff.
We are looking for experienced counterpersons to join our fun and friendly team. Previous barista skills are a big plus, and candidate must have at least one year experience of customer service. We are looking to hire both full and part time positions who will be responsible for opening, midday coverage, and closing shifts. Flexible schedule is preferred. Candidate may be required to work weekends and holidays.
The perfect applicant should have the following qualifications:
-A welcoming smile and personality.
-Barista skills a big us. We feature Tazzina coffee and have a La Marzocco machine.
- Strong counter experience. This position involves serving baked goods to customers, taking and making coffee orders, and serving food.
-A patient and friendly attitude with customers and coworkers. This position also requires a loud voice as you will be calling out food and drink orders.
-Opening/Closing experience is a big plus
-Good judgement and common sense.
-Staying calm under pressure.
-Good communication skills.
-A love of coffee and baked goods.
-Strong initiative and a willingness to help each other. Being able to assess what the business needs are and help where required most.
-Ability to work with a group and individually without supervision when required.
