PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the preparation and production of all baked goods including but not limited to: muffins and other quick breads, cookies, cakes, pastries, pies, yeasted and sourdough breads.
Maintain inventory and order baking supplies on a daily basis.
Ensure freshness and food safety.
Assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activities.
Ensure all recipes are correct and followed.
Follow cleaning routines and sanitation standards.
Assist in catering and special events as required.
Prior experience preparing and baking breads sweet breads and or pastries. Ability to work independently, early morning shifts, work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple preparation and cooking tasks simultaneously.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Minimum of 2 years professional baking experience preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
Food safety certified desired.
Able to multi task in a fast paced work environment.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work approximately 30 hours per week, a.m. shift.
Ability to read, write and speak English required.
Team player.
