Cultura is looking for a talented sous chef to join our amazing culinary team. Chef Michelle is known for her innovative takes on Oaxacan inspired California cuisine. Since opening in 2016 Cultura has been one of Carmel's hottest and most successful restaurants. We are looking for an experienced sous chef capable of managing our team, bringing culinary ideas and leading dinner services where we often serve over 200 guests. The ideal individual would have a core knowledge of regional Mexican cuisine, experience in both high volume and fine-dining restaurants and bring a sense of humor and genuine passion for food and hospitality. The typical schedule is five 12 hour days with two days off. The restaurant does serve a late-night menu, so the sous typically closes the kitchen each day around midnight.
