Stokes Adobe is hiring for the position of Executive Sous Chef!

Candidates should be highly motivated culinary professionals capable of leading by example in the areas of preparation, production, organization, and line cooking. Must be able to communicate well and collaborate with the Executive Chef, and the team, to execute a high standard of cuisine in a fast paced environment. This position would be ideal for an individual with a wide range of culinary knowledge and experience who is adaptable, humble, passionate, and informed about contemporary trends in food and cooking.

Sous Chef Job Responsibilities:

- Directs and aids in food preparation and collaborates with executive chef.

- Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.

- Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.

- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.

- Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.

- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.

- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.

- Prepares food properly.

- Schedules staff shifts.

- Trains new employees.

- Orders food supplies.

- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.

- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.

Position: Full Time. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. 50+ hours per week.

Salary: 65,000-70,000/year DOE
