Established in 1930 Nielsen Bros. Market & Deli is a landmark of Carmel. The candidates must be willing and able to work well as a team and independently with experience working in a grocery Market. This position may require, on occasion, to work behind the deli. Some of the duties for cashiering entail: providing great customer service; working with codes for produce; bagging, handling money, credit cards, house accounts, refunds, and stocking shelves. Also, familiarity with a cash register and processing credit card transactions, reports printed, end of shift closing register, and starting shift opening register. Closing duties and opening duties such as mopping, sweeping, and closing the cooler lights, gate, watering produce, coffee station maintenance, etc. Please note: There will be a manager who will provide direction.
Full time and Part-time cashiers. The hourly pay starts at $16/hr and up. Please see below about the ServSafe Food Handler's card.
