Popular catering company focusing on small to medium sized weddings (anywhere from 10-150 people) with local, farmers' market ingredients, looking for a new experienced chef to join the collaborative team in a pop up style at various private estates and venues from Carmel Valley to Big Sur. Chef will be given menus and must do all the shopping, farm pickups, fishmonger pickups, prepping, and packing for each event. Typically Friday and Saturdays from May-December, some weekdays. Great pay! Vehicle can be provided if needed for larger events. Choose your dates, but must be mostly free on weekends. Job requirements:
minimum 5 years experience as head chef
minimum 2 years of banquets/catering
Culinary training a plus
Must have current Servsafe certification
passionate about local ingredients
flexible schedule
ability to lift 50 pounds
creativity in cooking
Friendly and presentable in manner/appearance
Ability to be friendly with guests while cooking at open kitchens during events
Clean, organized, a good leader and team member
