Tradewinds Carmel, located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, is seeking excellent candidates for a Houseperson position, effective immediately. Previous experience of 1-year is a plus. Weekends and holidays are a must! This is a part-time position and pays $14 per hour or based on experience. The schedule will vary and be anywhere from 3 - 5 days per week.
Be responsible for overseeing all areas of the property, ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and suites. Be familiar with all hotel services to respond to guest inquiries accurately, have knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, services, procedures, and standards.
Essential Functions:
Assist with and perform preventive & small repair maintenance in guest rooms
Take trash from each check-out room and bring down to the trash room.
Collect linen from check-outs, storage rooms, and hallways
Dust, clean and vacuum as directed
Assist housekeepers with moving heavy objects throughout the day
Deep cleaning projects as directed
Listen to both housekeeping supervisors (and other housekeepers, within reason)
Assist with guests needs such as room amenities, linens, towels as requested
Perform simple plumbing tasks such as unclogging sinks/toilet
