Part-time tasting room associate wanted for a local Monterey County winery. Approximately 10-15 hours a week, with the possibility for more. Wine knowledge is preferred, and excellent customer service skills are essential. Must be able to work weekends.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Pouring and discussing wines, and actively expanding knowledge of wines
Providing attentive customer service at all times
Working well in team setting
Accurately following tasting room opening and closing procedures.
Handling busy days and periods, working effectively and efficiently in a busy customer service setting
Assisting with inventory count and keeping shelves, fridge and bar restocked at all times
Serving as liaison with wine club members
Answering questions and recording pertinent information regarding sales, customer inquiries, billing, pricing, and other related issues
Working weekends and having flexibility to take on additional hours and change schedules to cover shifts when needed
Basic computer and software literacy and ability to use POS system
Maintaining cleanliness and proper presentation in tasting room working area, inside and outside sitting areas
Answering phone and emails when necessary
Working shows, special events, and small or large private tastings
