*** NOTE: WE FAILED TO LIST OUR HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN AS A POSITION BENEFIT IN OUR EARLIER POSTING.

We are looking for a full-time Insurance/Patient Coordinator, to start by the beginning of August. This position is an entry-level position, but could evolve into an Office Manager role within two to three years.

ABOUT PACIFIC PHYSICAL THERAPY

Walk into most physical therapy clinics and you hear a lot of loud equipment. Walk into Pacific Physical Therapy and you’ll hear great conversations in the private treatment rooms and patients trading jokes with therapists in the common exercise area. (No rows of tables in the gymnasium!) Look out the large windows and you may see fawns being born in the wooded ravine.

Pacific PT is one of the oldest, most stable practices on the Monterey Peninsula, with a great reputation. As a credentialed Clinical Instructor, our owner has trained dozens of PT and PTA interns from universities across the country. Out-of-area surgeons refer their local patients to us, and we have out-of-State patients who only get their physical therapy when they come to their local homes. (Check out our patients’ testimonials at http://www.pacificpt.net/testimonials.html.)

This isn’t just a “sports” practice; we treat a wider range of conditions than many of our colleagues do. We also work with many patients whose cases involve:

* neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s, and post-stroke or head injury;

* military injuries;

* feet, gait, and balance; and

* age-related joint issues (preventative and post-surgery).

Our patients are dedicated to improvement because their conditions would otherwise affect their lifestyle for years.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate would have a degree - or at least have taken several courses - in medical office management, specifically medical billing. An introductory accounting course would also be helpful. Absent these courses, however, we will train the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

* has a great memory for details;

* likes making people happy (even when doing so is a challenge);

* is fun, creative, energetic, self-motivated, and patient;

* is very comfortable with computers and a variety of software;

* strives for perfection;

* has a great sense of humor;

* has excellent communication and organizational skills;

* could do basic addition and subtraction in his or her head, if necessary; and

* can multi-task like crazy!

JOB DUTIES

* works on accounts payable issues,
